A little about this one women show:
Em's Apothecary started about a year ago, with some eBay amber roller bottles, Kmart white stickers & my chicken scratch handwriting to create labels.
I still use this kind of labeling for my own oil blends, new oils in the making etc, but thanks to Vistaprint I have some pretty labels for my bottles now.
Originally it was all about following my passion to start living a chemical free life, which with further study grew into a holistic lifestyle, an approach to life that looks at the whole picture.
I was posting on my personal Facebook page, but felt I needed more room so I created Em's Apothecary Facebook page, interest was growing, family at first followed closely by friends.
Word got out, Em's Apothecary's following grew, and I now have 7 house blends and offer a service of making personalised blends (custom blend).
To think my humble beginnings of dabbling with a box of essential oils that my mum in-law gave me has lead to my becoming a business owner! I tried the box of oils out of frustration, I was heavily relying on headache tablets and many cups of coffee to keep me going throughout the day. I knew it wasn't good for me but I didn't know what else to do, my new born was up all night with colic and I still had the rest of the family to look after during the day. Peppermint oil was the least intimidating in the box, so I tried that for my headache, the relief was fast! This is a miracle I thought, so I tried lavender in my bath, it was heaven. Next in the kitchen lemon oil, followed by using the orange oil in the vacuum cleaner bag. I was hooked, I had to learn more.
With all good lessons, comes mistakes! I made many, from signing up to pyramid schemes to putting oil in places you should NEVER put oil hehe. But my passion never stopped, I wanted to learn more, the idea of helping people became a 'thing' I wanted to peruse, Em's Apothecary will help me to help others.
Let the adventure begin
